Rock

Rockford J. Adkins II

Cofounder

Rock is a practicing interventional radiologist and recent recipient of the Top Doctors award. He completed his training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. With a special interest in data and informatics, he is the driving force behind STAT Careers' algorithms. Having worked many long call shifts often dealing with life threatening ailments, Dr. Adkins understands the challenge of becoming a successful medical worker while balancing family needs and mental health. He firmly believes medical professionals should continue to educate and empower themselves in order to take full advantage of their unique skill sets. It is no surprise that he is an avid proponent for medical side gigs having previously worked as a software consultant for Epic, expert witness, and more.

Many basic work qualities Dr. Adkins appreciates and preaches were formed while working his way through the ranks of his family’s car dealership at an early age. It is this “family first” culture that has served as a guide for the inception and growth of STAT Careers.
